Job summary

Nissan Smyrna is seeking a Maintenance Engineering Intern to join our team in Smyrna, TN. You will work with an experienced engineering team to support equipment reliability, process improvements and manufacturing operations while contributing to projects that directly impact production performance.

You will gain hands-on experience in OEE optimization, Kaizen initiatives, and the installation and validation of new equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in a related engineering field.
• Junior/Senior or Master's level at the start of the upcoming term.
• GPA 3.0 or above; transcript may be requested during the application process.
• Ability to work onsite at Smyrna, TN.

Responsibilities

• Support projects aimed at improving Operating Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and manufacturing performance.
• Assist Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and equipment reliability.
• Support installation, startup and validation of new manufacturing equipment.
• Analyze equipment and process data to identify opportunities for improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance and production teams on daily operations and long-term projects.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
