Job summary

Nissan invites highly motivated engineering students to join the Facilities Engineering Intern program in Decherd, TN. You will work closely with seasoned facilities engineers in a powertrain manufacturing setting, gaining hands-on experience with building systems, maintenance processes, capital projects, and safety initiatives.

The role focuses on improving maintenance practices, supporting KPI tracking, and participating in continuous improvement efforts in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Students entering Junior or Senior year at the start of the upcoming academic term.
• GPA of 3.0 or above; transcript may be required.
• Ability to work onsite at Decherd, TN.

Responsibilities

• Support efforts to improve maintenance procedures and best practices for facility and building systems.
• Develop, implement, and commission projects that positively impact safety, quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
• Assist with setting up and maintaining critical spare parts within the CMMS.
• Track, analyze, and improve KPIs related to facility operations and business objectives.
• Participate in expense planning, capital planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
