Job summary

Nissan USA in Smyrna, TN is seeking a Process Engineering Summer Intern for a 12-week, full-time program. This role provides hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, supporting production processes, quality investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to identify issues, implement process improvements, and contribute to equipment performance, process efficiency, and vehicle quality.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate student in a related engineering field.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Currently enrolled for the upcoming term.

Responsibilities

• Support daily production processes and investigate quality concerns in assigned areas.
• Lead a project to reduce downtime from high-capability torque tools.
• Analyze equipment performance and production metrics to identify improvements.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance and quality to implement process changes.
• Assist with process documentation updates and tooling improvements.
