Job summary

Nissan Smyrna is seeking a Supplier Management Engineering (SME) Intern to join our team in Smyrna, TN. This 12-week full-time internship connects you with experienced engineers to support vehicle quality, manufacturing operations, and new model launches.

You will analyze data, evaluate processes, and help develop inspection methods while collaborating across teams to deliver practical solutions. Enrollment in an engineering program and onsite work are required.

Qualifications

Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Junior, Senior or Master’s student starting the upcoming term.
GPA of 3.0 or above; transcripts may be requested.
Willingness to work onsite in Smyrna, TN.

Responsibilities

Analyze quality and manufacturing data to identify trends, investigate issues, and recommend improvements.
Evaluate manufacturing processes and error-proofing methods to improve quality and efficiency.
Support studies involving design, tolerance analysis, and dimensional variation to resolve technical concerns.
Help develop and validate inspection methods, fixtures, and quality control processes.
Create tools, dashboards and training materials to improve team performance.
