The Jay, Autograph Collection in San Francisco is seeking a Maintenance Engineer II to maintain building systems and the envelope, ensuring guest safety and comfort. You will perform preventative maintenance, assist with repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and surfaces, and help sustain energy efficiency while upholding company standards.

This on-site role requires hands-on skills, good communication, and the ability to lift 25–50 lbs; hotel experience is preferred and benefits

Qualifications

• Vocational schooling or military training in building trades.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift 25–50 lbs and work in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and repairs on hotel systems and fixtures.
• Inspect electrical, HVAC, plumbing and related equipment.
• Repair or replace components such as ceilings tiles and lighting.
• Service hotel pool and maintain water chemistry.
• Maintain exterior areas and curb appeal (landscaping, painting).
• Move and refurbish furniture in guest rooms as needed.
• Respond to guest questions and requests to ensure high satisfaction.
