Job summary

The Jay, Autograph Collection in San Francisco seeks a Maintenance Engineer II to uphold the safety and comfort of guests by maintaining building systems and the building envelope. You will follow SOPs, energy‑saving practices, and health department codes while delivering reliable service.

Ideal candidates have vocational training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing or carpentry, hotel maintenance experience, and strong communication skills to assist guests and collaborate with the team.

Qualifications

• Vocational training or certification in building trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing or carpentry).
• Hotel or building maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to read manuals and blueprints and perform routine repairs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventive maintenance and complete work orders for hotel systems.
• Maintain electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing and general fixtures.
• Service pool, handles chemicals and cleaning filters when needed.
• Refurbish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms and common areas.
• Respond politely to guest questions and requests to ensure satisfaction.
