Job summary

La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club Inc. seeks an experienced maintenance engineer to repair and maintain plumbing, electrical, carpentry and mechanical systems across guest rooms and facilities.

You will perform preventative maintenance, service HVAC, troubleshoot issues, read blueprints, and ensure safety standards. Must hold a two-year degree or equivalent and a California driver’s license with a CFC recovery certificate.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two‑year college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, short correspondence and memos.
• Must have valid California Driver's License and CFC recovery certificate.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance to plumbing, electrical, carpentry and mechanical systems to high standards.
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance and inspections, including HVAC servicing.
• Read blueprints and schematics to guide maintenance work and repairs.
• Ensure safety and compliance with codes and company standards.
• Maintain tools and equipment and keep work areas clean and organized.
