Job summary

Biltmore is seeking a Maintenance Engineer II to maintain and repair Inn systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry. The role supports interior and exterior projects on the Inn and Estate, working with an Engineering team focused on guest service excellence.

The position requires hands-on maintenance skills, strong safety awareness and effective communication with guests and staff. Schedule varies; typically 8:00am–4:00pm, Fri–Mon, with ~20–29 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; additional trade certifications are helpful.
• Strong carpentry, plumbing, electrical or HVAC knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; guest service mindset.
• Experience with building mechanical systems preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform minor renovations.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, maintenance and upkeep of Inn systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Review daily work orders with Engineering Supervisor.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and safety programs.
• Communicate with guests, management and co-workers professionally.
