Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventive maintenance on a medical campus, including pressure boiler, HVAC, fire safety, emergency generators, and patient care equipment.

Position may provide general work direction within the scope of their license. Shift is day rotation, with holidays and call obligations. Benefits include medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), training, tuition reimbursement, flexible scheduling, and generous time off.

Qualifications

• 2-year vocational school or 2-year apprenticeship, or 3 years in maintenance.
• Must meet driving criteria acceptable to Essentia Health's insurer.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on facility systems.
• Inspect and repair pressure boilers, basic HVAC, fire safety systems, emergency generators, and patient care equipment.
• Provide emergency repairs as needed.
• May lead or direct assigned team members within license scope.

Job Description:

Responsible for general maintenance in a medical specialty campus. Provides routine and preventative maintenance including inspection, maintenance, and complex repairs on various systems such as pressure boilers, basic HVAC systems, fire safety systems, emergency generators, and patient care equipment. May provide emergency repairs and perform additional duties as assigned.

Position may provide general work direction, within the scope of their license, to assigned team members.

Education Qualifications:

Minimum of a 2 year vocational school or a 2-year apprenticeship program or the equivalent

OR

3 years of experience in a maintenance role

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Must meet the driving requirements and criteria acceptable to Essentia Health's insurer
