Job summary

GAF offers a Maintenance Engineering Co-Op in California for students pursuing Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering. Roles include real-world projects, comprehensive involvement with Maximo, and exposure to reliability initiatives within a structured, rotation-based program.

Base compensation begins at a $24.00 hourly rate with potential living or relocation allowances depending on location, and the opportunity to return for additional terms as you complete education.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 2.8 GPA with sophomore standing.
• Strong problem solving, project management, and communication skills.
• Ability to generate accurate and concise technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Maximo to enter work orders and manage WO flow.
• Utilize Maximo to develop report generation (Work orders, Spends, Inventory).
• Conduct problem solving investigations and troubleshooting to identify root cause and containment.
• Support maintenance department reliability improvement initiatives with maintenance and production teams.
• Provide technical support and analytical analysis for maintenance.
• Create data flow/technical diagrams.
• Lead small capital projects by supervising vendors and preparing AFCE reports.
• Assist maintenance planner and supervisor as needed.
