Job summary

GAF invites Co-Opportunity participants to learn in a real work environment within maintenance engineering. You’ll work on high-profile projects as part of our teams, with full-time assignments for students pursuing degrees in chemical, mechanical, or industrial engineering. Rotation culminates in a formal report-out to leaders.

Base Hourly Rate: $24.00. Location and terms vary by site, with potential living or relocation allowances depending on location.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering.
• Ability to work full-time during term and produce technical reports.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Maximo to enter work orders and manage WO flow.
• Develop reports for work orders, spends, and inventory.
• Investigate root causes and implement countermeasures to prevent recurrence.
• Support maintenance reliability improvement initiatives with teams.
• Provide technical analysis and supportive data for the maintenance dept.
• Draft technical diagrams and participate in capital projects.
• Assist the maintenance planner and supervisor as needed.
