Job summary

GAF is offering a Controls Engineering Co-Op for students pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees in chemical, electrical, or mechanical engineering. The role runs for specific school terms with full-time hours and possible return terms.

A base hourly rate of $24.00 is provided, with potential living or relocation allowances depending on location. Responsibilities include QA of raw materials, root-cause investigations, supplier quality improvements, and technical reporting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• GPA of 2.8 or higher and sophomore standing are required.
• Strong problem solving, project management, and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and generate concise technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Performing raw material quality assurance activities and material performance.
• Conducting problem solving investigations to identify root causes and implement countermeasures.
• Supporting quality improvement initiatives with suppliers.
• Providing technical support and analytic analysis for material issues.
• Involvement with data flow diagrams and technical diagrams.
