Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Maintenance Electrician in Bartlett, IL to troubleshoot, repair, install, and sustain building and electrical systems. You will work from work orders, schematics, and manuals to ensure reliability and safety in a union manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, performing electrical tests, wiring and conduit work, modifying circuits, and leading helpers on repair projects. On-site shift hours and comprehensive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with CMMS system.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Basic understanding of ladder logic and PLCs.
• Ability to troubleshoot motor controls (480v 3 phase, servos, AC/DC, etc.).
• Experience performing assembly and disassembly.

Responsibilities

• Plan equipment repair and modification needs based on work order drawings or verbal instructions.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems, perform electrical tests, disassemble equipment, replace defective parts, reassemble and test.
• Install and modify equipment per code and process requirements; pull wires, bend conduit, and ensure balanced power distribution.
• Redesign circuits and modify wiring diagrams to document changes.
• Test and replace defective parts and components such as motors, clutches, gear trains, belts, hoses, or controls.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and advise on maintenance actions.
• Direct helpers on repair projects and assist training of staff.
• Repair equipment parts and structure using brazing and welding.
• Order materials for projects as needed.
• Use pneumatic tools, grease guns, painting tools, forklifts, multimeters, and hand tools.
• Follow safety rules and maintain a clean work area.
