Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician for a heavy industrial plant in Muscle Shoals, AL. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on large equipment, install and commission new electrical systems, and troubleshoot complex electrical machinery including rolling mills, conveyors, CNC machines, casting equipment, and furnaces.

The role requires extensive industrial electrical experience, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work safely with high-voltage

Qualifications

• Must have journeyman electrician license or equivalent.
• Minimum 5+ years of electrical maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
• Experience troubleshooting PLC controls, especially Siemens PLCs.
• Strong experience with AC/DC drives and high-voltage systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical docs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Execute repairs on rolling mills, conveyors, CNC machines, casting equipment, and furnaces.
• Install, wire, and commission new equipment in a heavy industrial plant.
• Troubleshoot PLC controls to minimize downtime and maintain production targets.
• Diagnose and repair 3-phase motors and drives in complex systems.
• Work safely with high-voltage equipment, switchgear, and generators.
• Document maintenance activities and modifications in records.
