Job summary

Xenia Health and Rehab is seeking a Maintenance Director to oversee the daily operations of the maintenance department in a skilled nursing facility. You will ensure the building is safe, compliant with Life Safety Code, and properly maintained to support resident wellbeing.

The role requires strong supervisory experience, knowledge of electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems, and a valid driver's license. Prior SNF/ LTC facility experience is preferred. Full-time with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years’ supervisory experience in a maintenance/plant related position.
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or Long Term Care Facility preferred.
• Working understanding of electrical, HVAC, mechanical, and architectural systems.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Directs the Maintenance Department day-to-day operations and programs.
• Ensures Life Safety Code compliance with all regulations.
• Reviews policies and job descriptions annually for revisions.
• Prepares operating and staffing budgets for maintenance and monitors monthly.
• Ensures staff are trained on safety policies and procedures and monitors compliance.
• Oversees preventive and unplanned maintenance including painting, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC and electrical work.
• Schedules department work hours, vacations, and assignments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
