Job summary

SNF Rehab & Healthcare is seeking a Maintenance Director to oversee the facility's maintenance operations, supervise staff, and ensure safe, compliant conditions for residents and employees. The role includes preventive maintenance planning, budgeting, repairs, and coordinating with administration.

Candidates should have high school or equivalent, supervisory experience, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent and basic training in electrical, plumbing, heating and HVAC systems.
• Supervisory experience is also required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Maintenance Department and perform hands-on repairs and maintenance.
• Keep the building in good repair and free of hazards related to electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling systems.
• Maintain the building and grounds in compliance with laws at federal, state and local levels.
• Maintain fire alarm and emergency generator; test weekly and keep records.
• Prepare required reports and participate in maintenance budgeting.
• Order supplies with administrator approval and orient maintenance staff.
• Plan in-service programs and attend department head meetings.
• Recruit, interview and orient maintenance personnel; discipline as needed.
• Assign work schedules and remain on call for emergencies 24/7.
• Ensure safety of residents and facility compliance with safety plans and MSDS.
• Provide high quality service to residents and families; uphold safety and sanitation codes.
