Job summary

Atlas Healthcare, LLC in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead the Maintenance Department in a nursing home setting. You will develop policies, coordinate with dietary, nursing, and activities departments, and oversee preventive maintenance programs.

The role requires minimum two years in maintenance, nursing home experience, and strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, with HVAC certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a maintenance position.
• Nursing home experience required.
• HVAC certification strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators and other mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
• Must be licensed in accordance with current standards and codes.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Maintenance Department, its programs and activities.
• Develop and maintain written maintenance policies and procedures.
• Assist maintenance staff in developing and using department policies, procedures, equipment, supplies, etc.
• Review department policies, procedure manuals, and job descriptions at least annually and make recommendations to the Administrator.
• Coordinate maintenance services and activities with other related departments (e.g., Dietary, Nursing, Activities).
• Make written or oral reports to the Administrator as necessary concerning the operation of the Maintenance Department.
• Assist in establishing a preventive maintenance program.
