Job summary

Brookdale is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Austin, TX, to oversee the upkeep of our community buildings and grounds. You will lead maintenance, housekeeping, and related staff, ensuring safety, compliance, and quality service for residents.

The role requires coordinating preventive maintenance, managing contractors, and monitoring budgets. Strong leadership and a valid driver’s license are essential to support daily operations and safety across the community.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent; 3–5 years related experience and/or training.
• Valid State Driver’s License required for vehicle travel, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Directs maintenance, housekeeping and laundry staff (if applicable) to ensure quality care of the community.
• Oversees maintenance and upkeep of buildings and grounds; inspects work for standards.
• Coordinates preventive maintenance programs and ensures compliance with local/state/federal codes.
• Manages engineering contractors and vendors; ensures licenses and insurance are current.
• Manages life-safety systems inspections and budget tracking for utilities and repairs.

Education

Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school
