Job summary

Brookdale Senior Living in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced maintenance leader to oversee the care of communities, ensuring safe and well-maintained properties. You will direct maintenance, housekeeping and related staff, coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance, and support move-ins with reliable service.

Applicants should have an associate degree (or equivalent) and 3–5 years of related experience, plus a valid state driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school and a minimum of three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid State Driver's License required for vehicle travel, as needed.
• 3–5 years related experience in facilities maintenance or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair buildings and grounds to meet standards and safety requirements.
• Direct maintenance, housekeeping and laundry staff, including hiring, training and performance evaluation.
• Coordinate repairs, preventative maintenance programs and lifecycle projects.
• Ensure life safety systems (fire extinguishers, sprinklers) are inspected and compliant.
• Manage department budget and track utility consumption and expenses.
