Job summary

CareCore Health seeks an experienced Maintenance Director to oversee maintenance, safety, and the overall physical condition of our skilled nursing facility. You will lead a hands-on team ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities include supervising maintenance, coordinating preventative work, ensuring Life Safety compliance, and collaborating with leadership to manage inspections and vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in skilled nursing/healthcare maintenance required.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Life Safety Code and healthcare regulations.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond to urgent needs.
• Dependable and professional in a resident-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the facility.
• Perform and coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other facility systems.
• Conduct routine inspections of the building, equipment, and grounds.
• Ensure compliance with Life Safety Code, OSHA, and applicable regulations.
• Maintain maintenance, inspection, and Life Safety documentation.
• Coordinate and oversee outside vendors and contractors.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Prepare the facility for state surveys and regulatory inspections.
• Manage maintenance supplies, equipment, and inventory.
• Work with Administrator and leadership team; participate in on-call rotation.
