Job summary

CareCore at Willowood in Brunswick, OH seeks an experienced Maintenance Director to lead the maintenance, safety, and physical condition of our skilled nursing facility. You will oversee daily operations, coordinate repairs, manage systems, and partner with leadership to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

This hands-on role requires knowledge of Life Safety Code and healthcare regulations, plus supervisory experience and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in a skilled nursing, long-term care, or healthcare maintenance setting.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Life Safety Code and healthcare regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the facility.
• Perform and coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other facility systems.
• Conduct routine inspections of the building, equipment, and grounds.
• Ensure compliance with Life Safety Code, OSHA, and applicable regulations.
• Maintain required maintenance, inspection, and Life Safety documentation.
• Coordinate and oversee outside vendors and contractors as needed.
• Respond to maintenance requests and facility emergencies.
• Prepare the facility for state surveys and regulatory inspections.
• Manage maintenance supplies, equipment, and inventory.
• Work closely with the Administrator and facility leadership team.
• Participate in the facility's on-call rotation.

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility emergencies
• Prepare the facility for state surveys and other regulatory inspections
• Manage maintenance supplies, equipment, and inventory
• Work closely with the Administrator and facility leadership team
• Participate in the facility's on-call rotation as needed

Requirements

• Previous maintenance experience in a skilled nursing, long-term care, or healthcare setting required
• Previous maintenance leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Knowledge of Life Safety Code and healthcare regulatory requirements
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, general repairs, and preventative maintenance
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond to urgent facility needs
• Dependable, professional, and comfortable working in a resident‑centered healthcare environment
