Westmont of Santa Cruz, a brand-new Assisted Living and Memory Care community, seeks a Maintenance Director to lead property upkeep and safety programs in California. You will oversee electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire safety systems and campus grounds, ensuring regulatory compliance and resident comfort.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state regulations, health laws, and OSHA regulations.
• Basic knowledge of State Health and Safety Codes.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire suppression, and emergency call systems.
• Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking.
• Able to perform basic maintenance such as painting, simple plumbing, carpet removal, and equipment repair.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs, stand/walk/reach for long periods.
• Criminal background clearance prior to first presence in the community.
• Must pass health screenings (Physical, TB, Drug test).
• First aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

What we need from you:

• Knowledge of state regulations, health laws and OSHA regulations.
• Basic knowledge of State Health and Safety Codes.
• Must have working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire suppression, fire irrigation and emergency call systems.
• Strong organizational skills including ability to follow-up, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task.
• Able to complete basic maintenance services such as painting, simple plumbing, carpet removal, and equipment repair.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs, carry up to 40 lbs, push/pull up to 50 lbs, constant standing, walking and reaching required

• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
