Job summary

The Oaks at Paso Robles, part of Westmont Living, is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead maintenance operations in an assisted living and memory care community. You will supervise staff, schedule preventive maintenance, and ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and reliable building systems.

Ideal candidates have strong knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire safety, and facilities management, with hands-on abilities and a service-first mindset. Full benefits eligible.

Qualifications

• Experience managing maintenance in senior living or healthcare facilities.
• Knowledge of state health codes and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to supervise staff and coordinate preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance team to plan and execute work orders.
• Oversee safety programs and regulatory compliance.
• Manage preventive maintenance and renovation projects.
• Maintain building systems including electrical, HVAC, plumbing.

What we need from you:

• Knowledge of state regulations, health laws and OSHA regulations.
• Basic knowledge of State Health and Safety Codes.
• Must have working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire suppression, fire irrigation and emergency call systems.
• Strong organizational skills including ability to follow-up, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task.
• Able to complete basic maintenance services such as painting, simple plumbing, carpet removal, and equipment repair.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs, carry up to 40 lbs, push/pull up to 50 lbs, constant standing, walking and reaching required

• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
