Job summary

Harmony Marshalltown is seeking a Maintenance Director to join our skilled nursing team. You will oversee and supervise all maintenance department activities, ensuring the facility and grounds meet safety codes and that equipment and systems are properly maintained to support high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 3 years of facility maintenance experience.
• 5 years of Maintenance Director experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
• Associate’s degree in Construction Technology or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of safety codes and building systems.

Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Director you are critical in maintaining all internal and external aspects of the facility and grounds. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Harmony Marshalltown by overseeing and supervising all aspects of the maintenance department, ensuring the facility and grounds meet all related safety codes and ensuring that equipment and systems maintenance schedules are monitored and followed. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent and three (3) years of experience working in a facility maintenance capacity. Five (5) years of prior Maintenance Director experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting and an associate’s degree in Construction Technology or similar field is preferable.
