Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Director with expertise in life safety inspections, HVAC, and regular maintenance. The ideal candidate will supervise and coordinate the maintenance department's activities to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations and building codes. Responsibilities include maintaining a sanitary, attractive, and safe environment, ensuring systems such as electrical, plumbing, ventilation, heating, and cooling are in good repair, and overseeing quality laundry services.

Responsibilities

1. Supervise all Environmental Services personnel and daily operations throughout the center, ensuring effective service levels and control of budgets, staffing, and resolving personnel issues. Maintain records of accounts payable, supplies, equipment maintenance, and other departmental activities.
2. Implement and record the preventive maintenance program to keep the center in optimal condition.
3. Maintain comprehensive documentation of all maintenance activities, including records of parts, materials used, and fuel supply.
4. Perform routine maintenance and repairs in accordance with applicable regulations and codes.
5. Collaborate with residents, healthcare staff, and management to address environmental service requests, infection prevention, and interdepartmental matters. Provide timely follow-up and communicate best practices.
6. Maintain electrical and mechanical equipment, perform adjustments, lubrication, repairs, and report serious issues to the Administrator.

Qualifications

• One to two years of supervisory experience in a commercial setting with knowledge of laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance procedures.
• Preferably, at least 2 years of experience in long-term care.
