Haven of Champaign is seeking a dependable, experienced Maintenance Director to oversee daily maintenance operations in a skilled nursing facility in Champaign, IL. The role ensures a safe, clean, comfortable environment for residents and staff.

You will lead maintenance staff, coordinate HVAC/plumbing/electrical work, and manage life-safety inspections and drills while maintaining records. Candidates should have SNF maintenance leadership experience and comply with OSHA/IDPH regs.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and building maintenance.
• Experience with personnel management preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA and IDPH requirements.
• Trade licenses or certifications are a plus.
• Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Dependable and hands-on with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facility maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance.

Maintenance Director

Haven of Champaign | Full-Time

Haven of Champaign is seeking a dependable, experienced Maintenance Director to oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of our skilled nursing facility. The Maintenance Director is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, comfortable, and well-functioning environment for our residents and team members.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all facility maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance.

• Supervise, schedule, and coordinate maintenance staff.

• Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, housekeeping, laundry, dietary, and other facility equipment.

• Schedule and oversee required life-safety inspections, including fire alarms, sprinklers, generators, and related systems.

• Coordinate and oversee fire, disaster, and evacuation drills.

• Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA and IDPH regulations.

• Maintain required maintenance records and documentation.

• Respond to emergency maintenance needs and urgent repairs.

• Participate in the Department Head weekend rotation.

• Remain available 24/7 for maintenance emergencies and urgent repairs.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator.
