Haven of Champaign is seeking a dependable, experienced Maintenance Director to oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of our skilled nursing facility. The Maintenance Director is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, comfortable, and well-functioning environment for our residents and team members.
Oversee all facility maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
Supervise, schedule, and coordinate maintenance staff.
Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, housekeeping, laundry, dietary, and other facility equipment.
Schedule and oversee required life-safety inspections, including fire alarms, sprinklers, generators, and related systems.
Coordinate and oversee fire, disaster, and evacuation drills.
Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA and IDPH regulations.
Maintain required maintenance records and documentation.
Respond to emergency maintenance needs and urgent repairs.
Participate in the Department Head weekend rotation.
Remain available 24/7 for maintenance emergencies and urgent repairs.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator.
Previous maintenance experience in a skilled nursing facility required.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
Experience with personnel management preferred.
Knowledge of OSHA and IDPH requirements.
Relevant trade licenses or certifications are a plus.
Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
