OSHR Temporary Solutions seeks a temporary Maintenance Technician for the NC Dept of Agriculture – Agricultural Sciences Center (ASC) in Raleigh. The role supports upkeep of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems in a lab-focused facility.
Expected schedule is 7:00 am–4:00 pm, approximately 40 hours per week, for about 11 months. Hourly rate ranges from $18 to $21 depending on education and experience.

This temporary position is with NC Dept of Agriculture & Consumer Services – Agricultural Sciences Center (ASC), located at 4400 Reedy Creek Road, Raleigh NC, Wake County 27607.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay, up to: $21 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
This temporary position will be assigned to the NC Dept of Agriculture – Agricultural Sciences Center (ASC). This is an opportunity to take your skills to the next level in a state-of-the-art facility which houses laboratories and administrative offices. Work will provide an opportunity to grow in mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry. The Steve Troxler Agricultural Sciences Center (ASC) houses the regulatory laboratories for the Department of Agriculture. The labs consist of the Food & Drug Protection Division Chemistry, Microbiology, and Pesticide Residue labs; the Veterinary Division Animal Disease Diagnostic lab; the Standards Division Weights and Measures lab, and the Standards Division Fuel Quality testing lab. These laboratories form the scientific basis for all regulatory work performed by the Department ensuring consumer protection for human and animal food, commerce, and animal health. The Facility Maintenance section is responsible for all buildings and maintenance for the ASC and the three veterinary division’s satellite laboratories. In addition to general maintenance and equipment repair, this position may assist with groundskeeping and incinerator operation.
Hourly Rate: $18 - $21 per hour
