Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Tampa, FL is seeking a maintenance associate to uphold cleanliness and safety across all club areas. You will gather and return carts, perform mopping, sweeping, and general repairs, and support a safe, positive member experience.

This role requires completing required training and certification, with preferred background in maintenance or janitorial work and retail experience. The position offers weekly pay, benefits, and opportunities to grow with the team.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete required training and certification.
• Prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Prior retail/wholesale experience preferred.
• May be under 18 to perform parking lot cart functions; must be over 18 to operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and courteous service and maintain high safety/sanitation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of all club areas including sales floor, restrooms, and outdoor grounds.
• Gather and return carts/flatbeds; remove trash/debris from lot and exterior.
• Ensure carts are stocked and in working order; remove damaged carts.
• Perform maintenance/cleaning tasks: mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, etc.
• Operate floor scrubber, trash compactor and cardboard baler safely.
