Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a maintenance/ janitorial team member to uphold high safety and sanitation standards across the club. You will gather and return carts, clean floors, and support a clean, safe shopping environment for members and staff.

Responsibilities include stocking carts, operating cleaning equipment, and assisting with minor repairs. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and adherence to club policies to deliver a positive member experience.

Qualifications

• Must complete required training and certification processes.
• Maintenance/janitorial experience preferred.
• Retail/wholesale experience preferred.
• Age: may be under 18 for cart functions; over 18 to operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of all club areas including sales floor, offices, restrooms and outdoor grounds.
• Gathers and returns carts/flatbeds from parking lot to club entrance.
• Ensure carts are stocked and in working order; remove damaged carts.
• Return new and unused merchandise to the sales floor as needed.
• Operate floor scrubber, trash compactor and cardboard baler safely.
• Perform minor and routine repairs and notify management when major work is needed.
