Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club seeks a maintenance associate responsible for general maintenance and cleaning across the club while upholding safety and sanitation standards for members and team members.

You will gather and return carts from the parking lot, maintain cleanliness of the club and exterior, and support cart and floor maintenance while ensuring a welcoming, safe shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Prior retail/wholesale experience preferred.
• May be less than 18 to perform parking lot cart functions. Must be over 18 to operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and courteous customer service while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.
• Clean and maintain all areas of the club, including the sales floor, restrooms, and exterior.
• Gather and return carts and manage parking lot carts; remove trash and debris.
• Ensure carts are stocked and functioning; remove unusable carts.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks and minor repairs; report major repairs.
• Attend to duties across departments as needed; maintain attendance.
