Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking a General Maintenance/Janitorial Associate to keep the club clean, safe, and welcoming for members and team members. You will perform cleaning, cart retrieval from the parking lot, and light maintenance to support a high standard of sanitation.

The role emphasizes teamwork, speed, and customer service; training is provided. Minimum age is 18 to operate equipment; prior maintenance or janitorial experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Prior retail/wholesale experience preferred.
• May be less than 18 years of age to perform parking lot cart functions. Must be over 18 to operate equipment and enter age restricted areas.

Responsibilities

• Provides members with prompt and courteous service and assistance.
• Maintains high standards of safety and sanitation for members and team members.
• Maintains cleanliness of all areas of the club including sales floor, offices, restrooms and outdoor grounds.
• Gathers and returns carts from the parking lot to the club entrance and removes trash/debris from exterior areas.
• Operates cleaning equipment and restocks supplies; notifies management for major repairs.
