Job summary

The State of South Carolina is seeking a Maintenance Budget Coordinator to manage funding for statewide maintenance operations. The role collaborates with Headquarters, district, and county staff to monitor spending and provide financial information for budget planning and decision making.

Responsibilities include tracking budgets, expenditures, and available balances; coordinating invoices and payments; and developing reports and dashboards with Excel, Power BI, and SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and one year of relevant program experience, or an approved acceptable equivalence.
• Valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, expenditures, and reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitors maintenance budgets, expenditures, committed funds, and available balances.
• Identifies funding shortages and other budget concerns requiring management attention.
• Tracks district and county maintenance contract services against budgeted amounts.
• Reviews invoices, purchase orders, and payment documents for accuracy and funding compliance.
• Prepares financial reports, dashboards, and budget tracking tools using Excel, Power BI, SAP, and other systems.
• Assists with annual budgets and long-term financial planning.
