Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC is seeking a Maintenance Associate for Yard and Property care at the North Carolina - St. Pauls Plant.

Qualifications

• Experience in landscaping is a plus.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.

Responsibilities

• Mow, plant, weed, fertilize, and prune to keep grounds healthy.
• Perform exterior maintenance such as sweeping sidewalks, painting, and minor repairs.
• Assist with repairs and maintenance of grounds and facility.
• Follow safety policies and wear PPE when required.

Performs all work in compliance with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations. **RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:*** Under minimal supervision, ensure grounds/yard surrounding facility are well maintained* Perform landscaping duties such as mowing, planting, weeding, fertilizing, pruning etc to ensure plants, shrubs and trees remain healthy* Perform minor facility exterior maintenance such as sweeping/clearing sidewalks, painting, lightbulb replacement and/ or other minor structural repairs etc.* Assist others when requested in the repair and maintenance of grounds and facility* Work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations* Other duties as assigned**EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:*** High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required****EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:***** Previous experience in landscaping a plus* Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate* Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours* Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character**SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:*** Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs* Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:*** Ability to work in hot, wet and/or cold environment* Ability to stand up to 8 hours* Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
