Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain the grounds and surrounding yard of our facility. The role requires performing landscaping tasks, basic exterior maintenance, and assisting with repairs while following company policies and welfare guidelines.

Flexibility for nights, weekends, holidays and extended shifts is needed. The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent; landscaping experience is a plus and a strong work ethic is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Experience in landscaping is a plus.
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
• Able to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shifts.
• Sound work ethic, honesty and good character.

Responsibilities

• Under minimal supervision, ensure grounds/yard surrounding facility are well maintained.
• Perform landscaping duties such as mowing, planting, weeding, fertilizing, pruning to keep plants healthy.
• Perform minor exterior maintenance such as sweeping/clearing sidewalks, painting, lightbulb replacement and other minor repairs.
• Assist others when requested in repair and maintenance of grounds and facility.
• Work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

PAY: $19.00

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Primarily responsible for the cultivation and care of grounds/yard surrounding facility. Performs all work in compliance with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

• Under minimal supervision, ensure grounds/yard surrounding facility are well maintained
• Perform landscaping duties such as mowing, planting, weeding, fertilizing, pruning etc to ensure plants, shrubs and trees remain healthy
• Perform minor facility exterior maintenance such as sweeping/clearing sidewalks, painting, lightbulb replacement and/ or other minor structural repairs etc.
• Assist others when requested in the repair and maintenance of grounds and facility
• Work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
