Job summary

Arcadia Care in Streator, IL is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to plan and direct maintenance operations, develop schedules, oversee preventive maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety regulations to keep the facility safe and comfortable for residents.

You will repair facility and resident property, coordinate with other departments and outside vendors, supervise safety and fire protection programs, inspect work areas and equipment for upkeep and supply control, and assist with resident

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Previous maintenance experience required.

Responsibilities

• Repair facility/resident property; coordinate maintenance with other departments; inspect facility for upkeep and supply control; coordinate with outside vendors.
• Supervise safety and fire protection programs; inspect work areas and equipment; ensure supplies and equipment are maintained for a safe environment.
