Job summary

Arcadia Care is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Maintenance Department, ensuring the facility is safe and comfortable for residents and staff in Illinois.

The role emphasizes repairing property, coordinating with departments and outside vendors, and supervising safety and fire prevention programs to maintain a clean, safe environment and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Must possess high school education or its equivalent.
• Must be knowledgeable of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical & plumbing systems.
• Must be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Repair facility/resident property; coordinate maintenance services and activities with other related departments; inspect facility for upkeep and supply control; and coordinate with outside vendors.
• Supervise safety and fire protection and prevention programs; inspect work areas and equipment; and ensure that supplies, equipment, etc., are maintained and utilized to provide a safe and comfortable environment.
