Job summary

Arc at Normal is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help plan, organize, develop, and direct the Maintenance Department to keep the facility safe and comfortable.

The role involves repairing facility and resident property, coordinating maintenance with other departments and outside vendors, and supporting safety and fire protection programs to maintain high standards. You’ll help ensure compliance with codes and regulations in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent.
• Must be knowledgeable of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical & plumbing systems.
• Must be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Repair facility/resident property and coordinate maintenance with other departments; inspect facility for upkeep and supply control.
• Supervise safety and fire protection and prevention programs; inspect work areas and equipment; ensure safe environment.
