Job summary

Arc at Normal is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support planning, organizing, developing, and directing the Maintenance Department so our facility remains safe and comfortable for residents and staff. The role focuses on coordinating daily maintenance activities and ensuring timely, quality service.

Key responsibilities include repairing facility and resident property, coordinating with other departments and outside vendors, and supervising safety and fire protection programs.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school education or its equivalent.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and various mechanical, electrical & plumbing systems.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Repair facility/resident property and coordinate maintenance services with other departments; inspect facility for upkeep and supply control; coordinate with outside vendors.
• Supervise safety and fire protection programs; inspect work areas and equipment; ensure proper use of supplies, equipment, etc., to provide a safe and comfortable environment.
