Job summary

Heritage Woods of Batavia is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support a safe, caring residential community in Batavia, IL. Under the Maintenance Director, you will sustain preventive maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety programs, and promptly handle routine and emergency requests to keep resident homes secure and comfortable.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED equivalent required.
• Experience in HVAC systems and/or electrical required.
• Prior senior living experience desired.
• Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the community safety program and maintains a secure resident home and working environment.
• Maintains preventive maintenance for HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other systems.
• Completes all maintenance requests, both scheduled and emergency, quickly and efficiently.
• Performs exterior maintenance duties and participates in drills with residents and team members.
• Engages with residents in a compassionate, dignified manner reflecting core values.
