We are currently looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our team! Our Hilton Garden Inn is located just off I-4, two miles from Universal Orlando Resort. With 158 guest rooms, our hotel features a full-service restaurant, The Garden Grille & Bar, serving breakfast, dinner, and drinks. We also have the well-known Tiki Bar where guests enjoy Florida weather outdoors by our Fire Pit. The Hilton Garden Inn is one of the 50 hotel properties owned and managed by the award-winning hotel management company, Buffalo Lodging Associates.

The Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for the upkeep of the hotel property, assisting the Chief Engineer.

Role:

1. Perform basic repair work, painting, wall covering, plumbing, electrical work, pool operations, preventative maintenance, and grounds upkeep.
2. Maintain all fixtures and equipment according to the preventative maintenance schedule and record maintenance activities as required by BLA and hotel brand standards.
3. Service and maintain pool and spa areas, including testing and recording water quality as per state and local regulations.
4. Clean internal building areas, including sweeping, mopping, and garbage removal. Maintain cleanliness of public, storage areas, and parking lot.

Flexibility to work AM and PM shifts, including holidays and weekends. Starting rate of pay: $18.00 per hour (higher pay may be considered based on experience).

What You Bring:

At least 2 years of mechanic experience in a hotel or related field. Skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations, and general maintenance are required. Must be able to bend, kneel, lift, push, carry, and pull up to 75 lbs. Ability to reach overhead, climb, crouch, and twist. Valid driver’s license required.
