A leading company is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to ensure maintenance schedules are followed and to perform routine tasks in a healthcare environment. The role requires effective communication skills and the ability to make independent decisions. Responsibilities include reporting incidents, performing repairs, and maintaining equipment for resident comfort.
Ensure that maintenance schedules are followed as outlined for the respective shift or area. Report all accidents/incidents to your supervisor, regardless of severity, on the shift they occur. Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing staff when performing routine tasks in resident living areas. Perform other duties as directed by your supervisor, department director, or administrator.
Maintain resident confidentiality by not disclosing protected health information and report any suspected violations promptly to the Administrator. Attend departmental and staff meetings as required. Follow assigned work tasks and file grievances or complaints with your supervisor.
Follow maintenance schedules and policies, performing routine tasks such as groundskeeping, repairs on the facility and equipment (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical), window cleaning, bulb replacements, and servicing heating/cooling units. Complete unscheduled maintenance as needed and replenish supplies in work areas.
Ensure the facility and equipment are maintained for resident comfort. Report malfunctions promptly, follow safety precautions, assist with lifting heavy items, and clean and store equipment properly after use. Maintain confidentiality of resident information and report any unauthorized disclosures.
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds. Use of a computer, sitting, standing, walking, talking, reading, hearing, and operating office equipment. Assistance in emergency evacuations may be required.
Low to moderate noise levels. Accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
