Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep a safe, clean, and well-functioning community for residents and staff. You will complete tasks, perform basic repairs, and support preventative maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general facilities.

The role involves making Ready suites, following safety standards, and assisting with safety drills. A reliable team member helps maintain equipment and respond to work orders in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned maintenance tasks and work orders
• Perform basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, appliances, fixtures)
• Assist with painting and refurbishing projects
• Support HVAC, water, and mechanical system maintenance
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks
• Maintain tools, equipment, and repair inventory
• Support carpet and floor care as needed
• Assist with suite “make-ready” preparation
• Follow OSHA, fire safety, and infection control standards
• Participate in emergency preparedness and fire drills
• Drive community vehicle as assigned
