Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep the community safe, clean, and well-functioning for residents and staff. You will complete tasks, perform repairs, assist with painting, and support HVAC and plant maintenance to ensure a high quality of life for residents.

Ideal candidates will help with preventative maintenance, safety checks, and make-ready suites, while adhering to OSHA and infection control standards.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned maintenance tasks and work orders
• Perform basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, appliances, fixtures)
• Assist with painting and refurbishing projects
• Support HVAC, water, and mechanical system maintenance
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks
• Maintain tools, equipment, and repair inventory
• Support carpet and floor care as needed
• Assist with suite make-ready preparation
• Follow OSHA, fire safety, and infection control standards
• Participate in emergency preparedness and fire drills
• Drive community vehicle as assigned
