Capitol Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Harrisburg is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for a full-time role. You will perform daily rounds, handle minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff.

A high school diploma and 1+ year of general maintenance experience are required; skilled nursing facility experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of general maintenance experience (painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC).
• Skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of safety procedures and maintenance best practices.
• Ability to work independently and with others in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Responsabilités

• Complete daily rounds to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs.
• Review maintenance logs and complete work orders promptly.
• Collaborate with staff to improve resident living spaces and facility environment.
• Assist with furniture moves and general maintenance projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues to support resident safety.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and facility policies.

$45,000 per year

Responsibilities for the Maintenance Assistant:

• Complete daily physical rounds throughout the facility to identify and address maintenance needs and safety concerns.

• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs to facility systems and equipment.

• Review maintenance request logs regularly and complete work orders accurately and promptly.

• Collaborate with staff to support improvements in resident living spaces and overall facility environment.

• Assist with furniture moves, equipment repairs, and general maintenance projects as assigned.

• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently to support resident safety and comfort.

• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications for Maintenance Assistant:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• One (1) or more years of general maintenance experience required (painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, or related trades).

• Skilled nursing facility experience preferred.

• Basic understanding of safety procedures and maintenance best practices.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
