Qualifications

• Experience in facility maintenance and repairs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Including, but not limited to:

• The Director of Maintenance reports to the Nursing Home Administrator.
• The Director of Maintenance is responsible for ongoing and preventative maintenance of all of the facility's buildings and grounds.
• Identify current and future maintenance needs; resource planning.
• This role also ensures the effectiveness of waste disposal, snow removal and pest control.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive resident care in our facilities.
• All other duties as assigned.

SKILLS

• Qualified candidates possess the ability to perform routine mechanical and structural repairs, and a working knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations; OSHA Standards and Life Safety Codes are required.
• Adherence to the principles of resident rights, resident and employee confidentiality, EEO and ADA required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Candidates should show evidence of creativity, organizational skills, and a cheerful personality.
• Previous experience in long-term care or other healthcare settings is a plus.
• Experience working with Alzheimer's/Dementia patients a plus.
• Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding employee, resident and company proprietary information.
• Must have the ability to relate professionally and positively and work cooperatively with patients, families, and other employees at all levels.
• Must possess computer skills of the type and at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
• Knowledge of HIPPA, and state and federal regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
