Join our team at Chestnut Woods Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center as a Maintenance Assistant. This part-time position offers daily pay and plays a key role in ensuring the facility is safe and welcoming for residents and staff.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and at least one year of general maintenance experience. Responsibilities include performing repairs, collaborating with staff, and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• One (1) or more years of general maintenance experience required.
• Skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of safety procedures and maintenance best practices.

Pay: $17-$18 an hour

Responsibilities for Maintenance Assistant:

• Complete daily physical rounds throughout the facility to identify and address maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs to facility systems and equipment.
• Review maintenance request logs regularly and complete work orders accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate with staff to support improvements in resident living spaces and overall facility environment.
• Assist with furniture moves, equipment repairs, and general maintenance projects as assigned.
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently to support resident safety and comfort.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications for Maintenance Assistant:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One (1) or more years of general maintenance experience required (painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, or related trades).
• Skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of safety procedures and maintenance best practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
