Job summary

Enterprise Community Partners is seeking a Maintenance Apprentice in Maryland to support day-to-day property upkeep and resident services. You will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to perform routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and site cleaning, contributing to a safe and attractive living environment for residents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, equipment repair, and painting.
• EPA Section 608 Technician Certification- Type II or Universal Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency in the use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to read English at a level sufficient for policies and procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Ensures timely, accurate, and high-quality completion of resident service requests.
• Performs routine, preventive, scheduled, and emergency maintenance and general upkeep.
• Provides excellent customer service to residents and communicates effectively with staff and guests.
• Maintains safety, cleanliness, and order across community areas and dumpster zones.
• Monitors community grounds and advises management on needed improvements.
• Participates in apartment turnovers, repairs, renovations, painting, and cleaning of vacant units.
• Maintains landscaping and snow removal as needed.
• Adheres to Enterprise policies and HR procedures relevant to the role.
• Responds to emergencies promptly and participates in required training.
