Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) in Chicago seeks a Maintenance Apprentice to gain hands-on experience operating, maintaining and repairing critical building systems, including boilers, chillers and HVAC units, under the Operating Engineers Local 399 agreement.

You will work with skilled technicians to support safe, efficient, well‑maintained properties and help deliver operational excellence and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Referral to IUOE Local 399 Trainee Program with union membership after probation.
• Pass background checks and meet physical requirements for trade work.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operating, maintaining, and repairing boilers, chillers, HVAC units, and plumbing systems.
• Perform routine checks, lubricate machinery, and help troubleshoot failures.
• Follow safety guidelines and building codes including OSHA and local regulations.
