Job summary
The City of New York is seeking a Production Control/Job Scheduler to monitor job flows managed by CA Workload Automation DE (dSeries) on z/OS, UNIX, or PeopleSoft servers.
You will manage dependencies, troubleshoot JCL errors, and coordinate on-call remediation while occasionally migrating software to production and test environments. A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in IT scheduling are preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field (4-year)
- 5+ years IT scheduling experience preferred
- Experience with mainframe scheduling environments
Responsibilities
- Monitor job flows controlled by CA Workload Automation DE (dSeries)
- Respond to job failures and coordinate remediation with on-call staff
- Migrate software to production and test environments as needed
- Document problems and set up job flow dependencies
- Troubleshoot test and production flows
